EAST COAST
Non-Union Hourly - Regular Overtime
Non-Union crew member hired at an hourly rate who is eligible to receive regular industry standard overtime (1.5x after 8 hours).
Example: East Coast - NY
- Non-Union Hourly is usually Fed 40 (following FLSA OT rules). That is 1.5x overtime after 40 cumulative hours worked for the week.
- Industry practice is often paid at 1.5x after 8 hours worked. FLSA 40 still must be paid after 40 cumulative hours worked.
Non-Union Weekly Exempt - Overtime Exempt
A Non-Union crew member (e.g. producer, director, department head, supervisor, etc.) hired under FLSA standards at a weekly rate who does not receive overtime.
Union IATSE Weekly Rate - On Call Overtime
Union IATSE crew member hired as ‘On Call’ at a weekly rate or daily rate per their CBA who is eligible to receive overtime for 6th and 7th days.
Union IATSE Hourly Rate - Regular Overtime
Union IATSE crew member hired at an hourly rate who receives overtime based on their CBA.
Teamsters Weekly Rate - Premium Overtime
Teamsters crew member hired at a weekly rate who is eligible for premium overtime that is not based on their actual weekly rate.
WEST COAST Non-Union Hourly - Regular Overtime
Non-Union crew member hired at an hourly rate who is eligible to receive regular industry standard overtime (1.5x after 8 hours; if California, 2x after 12 hours)
Non-Union Weekly Exempt - Overtime Exempt
Non-Union crew member (e.g. producers, directors, department. heads, supervisors, etc.) hired under FLSA standards at a weekly rate and who do not receive overtime.
Union IATSE Weekly Rate - On Call Overtime
Union IATSE crew member hired as ‘On Call’ at a weekly rate or daily rate per their CBA who is eligible to receive overtime for 6th and 7th days.
Union IATSE Hourly Rate - Regular Overtime
Union IATSE crew member hired at an hourly rate who receives overtime based on their CBA.
Union Weekly Rate - Premium OT Overtime
Union / Guild crew member hired at a weekly rate who is eligible for premium overtime that is not based on their actual weekly rate.
