Document Approval Workflow Changes

With these updates, you will be able to approve documents faster and also save changes without having to approve the document you are reviewing.

How to approve a document

When you open a document, it will now open in read-only mode.

  1. If no edits need to be made in the document, you will be able to quickly approve your document by simply clicking the Approve button. The Approve action in the read-only mode has been enhanced for faster approvals.

How to edit your documents

  1. When you open a document, it will now open in read-only mode. In order to edit any of the fields in it, click EDIT.
  2. After you clickEDIT, the document will become editable.
  3. You will be able to make any necessary edits, and will seethe following choices:
    1. Save - This will only save the changes to the document, but will not approve it.
    2. Save and Approve - This will apply any edits made in the document, and will also approve it.
    3. Cancel - Will take you back to read-only mode.

How to unapprove a document

  1. In case you have approved a document, but later need to make edits, use the Unapprove button.
  2. After clicking UNAPPROVE, the document will become editable, you will have all of the Edit options (“Save,” “Save and Approve,” and “Cancel”), and the document will go to the previous step in the approval flow.
