Document Approval Workflow Changes

We have improved our document approval workflow. With these updates, you will be able to approve documents faster and also save changes without necessarily approving the document that you are reviewing.

How to approve a document

When you open a document to approve it, it will now be presented in read-only mode.

If no edits need to be made in the document, you will be able to quickly approve your document by simply clicking in the Approve button. The Approve action present in the read-only mode has been enhanced to approve in less time than it previously did.

How to edit your documents

  1. When you open a document to approve it, it will now be presented in read-only mode. In order to edit any of the fields in it, you will have to click on the Edit button.
  2. After you’ve clicked Edit, the document will become editable.
  3. You will be able to make any necessary edits, and will be presented with the following choices:
    1. Save - This will only save the changes to the document, but will not approve it.
    2. Save and Approve - This will apply any edits made in the document, and will also approve it.
    3. Cancel - Will take you back to read-only mode.

How to unapprove a document

  1. In case you have approved a document, but after the fact need to make edits, you will now be presented with an Unapprove button.
  2. After clicking Unapprove, the form will become editable, and it will have been sent back to the previous step in the approval flow.
  3. Once you have clicked Unapprove, you will have the same options that are presented after clicking in the Edit button.
