How to: Use Daily Times

View the daily times for each employee, including hours worked, overtime breakdown, penalties and coding. With the Daily Times timecards grid, quickly search, filter, and export reports.

Step 1: From the main navigation, click "Timecards". 

 

 

Step 2: Next, click on the "Daily Times" tab.

The "Daily Times" grid will display the list of timecards for the date shown in the top-left corner of the page. The grid defaults to today’s date to streamline time entry. If the grid is empty, it means there are no timecards for the selected date. You can create new timecards using the Create Timecard or Batch Create Timecard actions.

 

 

Tip: When using Batch Create Timecards, you can include the Other Earnings specified on each crew member’s Start Form.

 

Step 3: Select a view and filter.

Use the default views, or create your own. Filter days based on a division, a call time, an episode code, and more.  Click here to learn more about custom grid views. These views are accessible to the accounting and production teams.

Time Entry View
Enter and manage crew information by recording detailed time inputs such as call times, wrap times, meals, and breaks.

Production Report View
Generate a standardized Excel export for the back page of the Production Report.

Click the "Export" action to create a Production Report. Select "PDF" to download the current grid page or "Excel" to include all pages.

Note: Selected groups and filters are applied to all reports.

Grossing Custom View
Display the automated calculation of total pay based on hours, rates, and other factors. This non-editable view serves as a starting point for the Hot Cost.

Coding View
Allocate time to specific tax incentives, episodes, locations, or accounts.

 

Step 4: Using the Bulk Edit Functionality.

Easily edit multiple timecards at once with the Bulk Edit feature.



Important Note: This functionality is currently only available on desktop.

After navigating to the Daily Times grid, click the "Edit" button.

You can edit a single field by clicking on it and entering new data.
To edit multiple fields across different timecards simultaneously:

  1. Select the rows you wish to edit.
  2. Input or select a value in the “Apply All” field.
  3. Use the "Apply all" functionality by clicking the double arrow icon.
  4. Click "Submit" to save the changes.

Editing Rules and Limitations

The ability to edit certain fields depends on the employee's type and status:

  • Only timecards in the “Hours” stage can be edited.
  • Approval flow rules dictate which users can edit a timecard.
  • Time inputs are only editable for Non-Exempt employees.
  • Specific union fields, such as the NDB, are not available for non-Union timecards.
  • Days for exempt employees can be marked as Worked, and the Total Hours for the day can be modified.

The following functionality is not yet available:

  • Meal Graces
  • Meal 2 Out/In
  • Day Types other than Worked (i.e., Holiday, Idle, Travel, etc.)
